I have been in nursing for approximately 8 years and I have been in pain for about 2 years. I have seen chiropractor after chiropractor and my pain was worsening in the lower back and shoulder areas. I was recommended to see another chiropractor, by my boss, in which I was very hesitant. After going to 3 or 4 chiropractors, with no success, they appear to be all the same. However, I was encouraged to go see Dr. Matthews and her practice, and was assured they were not the same as other chiropractors. Living with the excruciating pain for such a lengthy period led to depression and the depression led to almost destroying my marriage and family. Presently, I have been a patient for almost a year and my pain level has tremendously decrease from being 10/10 on the pain scale to now a 2/10. The passion I once had for nursing has returned and my depression is no longer present. My activities of daily living I am presently able to perform without any assistance from my husband. The frequent missed time at work has ceased. I thank Dr. Matthews because her interventions aided me in a better quality of life.
